TEJ rock Liverpool School
26th June 2012
It’s not everyday you get to meet a Wodaabe tribesman and learn percussion from a Hausa griot, but children at Booker Avenue Junior School in Liverpool have all met, dance, sung and laughed with the musicians from The Endless Journey during a four day residency. The finale later today is a concert for the whole school in which the children take part. The residency organised by Africa Oye has made a huge impression on the children and staff at the school who will be learning more about music, culture and life in Niger over the coming weeks.
