Princess Gets Facelift!

In Niger griot percussionist Oumarou Adamou is one by one restoring the drums damaged by fire at his workshop in January. The Princess Drum was only played for princesses of the royal family and now she’s getting a facelift, a new skin which Oumarou lovingly moisturises with peanut oil every day before tuning. Oumarou will be on tour in the UK with The Endless Journey in June and July. Tour dates to be announced shortly.
