Mahsa Vahdat and Coskun Karedemir

Iranian singer Mahsa Vahdat has teamed up with Coskun Karademir,  the vocalist and baglama player in Istanbul's Secret Ensemble, in this album juxtaposing Turkish and Iranian traditions.

"Their voices and instruments are given free rein to interact with each other, mirroring the commonness in culture these two artists want to convey." Neil van der Linden. 

The new album is available on the Kirkelig Kulyurverksted label and was recorded in the mausoleum of early 20th century artist Emanuel Vigeland in Oslo, with its incredible acoustics. where the echoes reverb for more than 14 seconds.
